# World Milk Day - 01 June.
World Milk Day is observed on June 1 in order to celebrate the dairy sector and recognise the importance of milk as a global food. The day was founded by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation. This year marks the 20th anniversary of World Milk Day. Each year events are organised by various groups in order to raise and discuss the importance of milk.
This year’s theme is “20th Anniversary of World Milk Day”.
# ලෝක කිරි දිනය - ජුනි 01.
කිරි අංශය සැමරීම සහ ගෝලීය ආහාරයක් ලෙස කිරිවල ඇති වැදගත්කම හඳුනා ගැනීම සඳහා ජුනි 1 වන දින ලෝක කිරි දිනය සමරනු ලැබේ. මෙම දිනය එක්සත් ජාතීන්ගේ ආහාර හා කෘෂිකර්ම සංවිධානය විසින් ආරම්භ කරන ලදී. මෙම වසර ලෝක කිරි දිනයේ 20 වන සංවත්සරය සනිටුහන් කරයි. කිරිවල වැදගත්කම ඉහළ නැංවීම සහ සාකච්ඡා කිරීම සඳහා සෑම වසරකම විවිධ කණ්ඩායම් විසින් උත්සව සංවිධානය කරනු ලැබේ.
මෙම වසරේ තේමාව “ලෝක කිරි දිනයේ 20 වන සංවත්සරය” යන්නයි.
