International Day of Family Remittances 2020 aka IDFR is celebrated each year on June 16 across the world. The day is organised by the United Nations and is universally accepted. This day is celebrated to recognise the efforts of migrants who help to improve the lives of their family members back home.
A remittance is money sent back home by a worker who works in a foreign land. This money that is sent back home by migrant workers is considered to be one of the largest financial inflows in developing countries. International Day of Family Remittances 2020 aims to recognise the efforts of such workers who help for the betterment of the lives of their loved ones back home.The first International Day of Family Remittances was celebrated way back on June 16, 2015.

# ජාත්‍යන්තර පවුල් ප්‍රේෂණ දිනය - ජුනි 16.
අන්තර්ජාතික පවුල් ප්‍රේෂණ දිනය 2020 හෝ IDFR සෑම වසරකම ජුනි 16 වන දින ලොව පුරා සමරනු ලැබේ. මෙම දිනය එක්සත් ජාතීන්ගේ සංවිධානය විසින් සංවිධානය කර ඇති අතර එය විශ්වීය වශයෙන් පිළිගනු ලැබේ. ආපසු සිය පවුලේ සාමාජිකයින්ගේ ජීවිත වැඩිදියුණු කිරීමට උපකාරී වන සංක්‍රමණිකයින්ගේ උත්සාහය හඳුනා ගැනීම සඳහා මෙම දිනය සමරනු ලැබේ.
ප්‍රේෂණය යනු විදේශ රටක සේවය කරන සේවකයෙකු විසින් ආපසු ගෙදර යවන මුදල් ය. සංක්‍රමණික කම්කරුවන් විසින් ආපසු ගෙදර යවන මෙම මුදල් සංවර්ධනය වෙමින් පවතින රටවල විශාලතම මූල්‍ය ගලා ඒමක් ලෙස සැලකේ. 2020 තම පවුලේ ප්‍රේෂණ දිනයේ අරමුණ වන්නේ තම ආදරණීයයන්ගේ ජීවිත යහපත් කර ගැනීම සඳහා උපකාර කරන එවැනි සේවකයින්ගේ උත්සාහයන් හඳුනා ගැනීමයි. පළමු ජාත්‍යන්තර ප්‍රේෂණ දිනය 2015 ජුනි 16 වන දිනට සමරනු ලැබීය.
