# World Blood Donor Day - 14 June.
On 14 June 2020 WHO and all countries will celebrate World Blood Donor Day.
The need for safe blood is universal. Safe blood is critical both for treatments and urgent interventions. It can help patients suffering from life-threatening conditions live longer and with a higher quality of life and supports complex medical and surgical procedures. Blood is also vital for treating the wounded during emergencies of all kinds (natural disasters, accidents, armed conflicts, etc.) and has an essential, life-saving role in maternal and neonatal care.
Blood is a life saving resource. The theme for the Blood donor day 2020 is 'Safe Blood Saves Lives' which would be promoted with the slogan 'Give blood and make the world a healthier place.'
# ලෝක රුධිර පරිත්‍යාග දිනය - ජුනි 14.
2020 ජුනි 14 වන දින ලෝක සෞඛ්‍ය සංවිධානය සහ සියලුම රටවල් ලෝක රුධිර පරිත්‍යාග දිනය සමරනු ඇත.
ආරක්ෂිත රුධිරයේ අවශ්‍යතාවය විශ්වීය ය. ප්‍රතිකාර හා හදිසි මැදිහත්වීම් සඳහා ආරක්ෂිත රුධිරය ඉතා වැදගත් වේ. ජීවිතයට තර්ජනයක් වන රෝගීන්ට වැඩි කාලයක් හා උසස් ජීවන තත්ත්වයක් සහිතව ජීවත් වීමට සහ සංකීර්ණ වෛද්‍ය හා ශල්‍යකර්ම සඳහා සහාය වීමට එය උපකාරී වේ. සෑම ආකාරයකම හදිසි අවස්ථා වලදී (ස්වාභාවික විපත්, අනතුරු, සන්නද්ධ ගැටුම් ආදිය) තුවාල ලැබූවන්ට ප්‍රතිකාර කිරීම සඳහා රුධිරය ඉතා වැදගත් වන අතර මාතෘ හා නවජ රැකවරණය සඳහා අත්‍යවශ්‍ය, ජීවිතාරක්ෂක කාර්යභාරයක් ඇත.
රුධිරය යනු ජීවිතාරක්ෂක සම්පතකි. 2020 රුධිර පරිත්‍යාගශීලීන්ගේ තේමාව වන්නේ 'ආරක්ෂිත රුධිරය ජීවිත සුරකිනු' යන්නයි. එය 'රුධිරය ලබා දී ලෝකය සෞඛ්‍ය සම්පන්න ස්ථානයක් බවට පත් කරන්න' යන සටන් පාඨය සමඟ ප්‍රවර්ධනය කෙරේ.
