# Unknown reptile species found in flatbed truck.
A reptile from an unknown subspecies has been found in a flatbed truck carrying goods for a private company which was imported from China.
When contacted about the matter, Western Province Assistant Wildlife Director Lalith Wickramaraachchi said that the Department has taken the animal into their custody after being notified by the company.
He further noted that details pertaining to the discovery of this animal was presented to court yesterday, and that the animal would soon be handed over to the Dehiwala Zoo.
He also added that on the instructions of the Wildlife Director, further investigations are to be carried out into the matter.

චීනයෙන් ආනයනය කරන ලද පෞද්ගලික සමාගමක් සඳහා භාණ්ඩ රැගෙන යන පැතලි නිදන ට්‍රක් රථයක නාඳුනන උප විශේෂයක උරගයකු සොයාගෙන තිබේ.
මේ පිළිබඳව බටහිර පළාත් සහකාර වනජීවී අධ්‍යක්ෂ ලලිත් වික්‍රමරාච්චි මහතාගෙන් විමසූ විට සමාගම විසින් දැනුම් දීමෙන් පසු දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව විසින් සත්වයා ඔවුන්ගේ භාරයට ගෙන ඇති බව පැවසීය.
මෙම සත්වයා සොයා ගැනීමට අදාළ තොරතුරු ඊයේ අධිකරණයට ඉදිරිපත් කළ බවත්, එම සත්වයා ඉක්මනින් දෙහිවල සත්වෝද්‍යානයට භාර දෙන බවත් ඔහු සඳහන් කළේය.
වනජීවී අධ්‍යක්ෂකගේ උපදෙස් පරිදි මේ සම්බන්ධයෙන් වැඩිදුර පරීක්ෂණ පැවැත්විය යුතු බවද ඔහු පැවසීය.
