# India elected as non-permanent member of UN Security Council.
India has been elected as the non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council. India has won the election for a two-year term after winning 184 votes in the 193-member General Assembly. India won the non-permanent seat from the Asia-Pacific category for the 2021-22 term which will begin on 1st January 2021.
Ireland, Mexico and Norway also won the Security Council elections along with India. The United Nations high-table comprises of five permanent members and 10 non-permanent members.

එක්සත් ජාතීන්ගේ ආරක්ෂක මණ්ඩලයේ ස්ථිර නොවන සාමාජිකයා ලෙස ඉන්දියාව තේරී පත් වී තිබේ. 193 දෙනෙකුගෙන් යුත් මහා මණ්ඩල සැසිවාරයේදී ඡන්ද 184 ක් ලබා ගැනීමෙන් පසු ඉන්දියාව වසර දෙකක කාලයක් සඳහා මැතිවරණය ජයගෙන තිබේ. 2021-22 ධුර කාලය සඳහා ඉන්දියාව ආසියා-පැසිෆික් කාණ්ඩයෙන් ස්ථිර නොවන ආසනය දිනා ගත්තේය.
අයර්ලන්තය, මෙක්සිකෝව සහ නෝර්වේ ද ඉන්දියාව සමඟ ආරක්ෂක මණ්ඩල මැතිවරණයෙන් ජය ගත්හ. එක්සත් ජාතීන්ගේ ඉහළ වගුවේ ස්ථිර සාමාජිකයන් පස් දෙනෙකු සහ ස්ථිර නොවන සාමාජිකයින් 10 දෙනෙකුගෙන් සමන්විත වේ.
