# International Children's Day - 01 June.
International Children's Day is observed on June 1st every year. The World Conference for the Well-being of Children in Geneva, Switzerland, proclaimed June 1 to be International Children's Day in 1925. After the conference, different governments around the world decided to declare a day as Children's Day to draw attention to children's issues. Many countries chose June 1, so this is the reason, why International Children's Day take place an June 1.
It is usually marked with speeches on children's rights and wellbeing, and other events involving or dedicated to children.
A similar event, Universal Children's Day, falls on 20 November. It was established by the United Nations in 1954 and aims to promote the welfare of children around the world. On October 1953, Children’s Day was celebrated for the first time in Geneva with International Union for Child Welfare as the sponsor. This Children’s Day celebration inspired United Nations General Assembly to observe Universal Children’s Day in 1954.
# ජාත්‍යන්තර ළමා දිනය - ජුනි 01.
සෑම වසරකම ජුනි 1 වන දින ජාත්‍යන්තර ළමා දිනය සමරනු ලැබේ. ස්විට්සර්ලන්තයේ ජිනීවා හි ළමුන්ගේ යහපැවැත්ම සඳහා වූ ලෝක සමුළුව 1925 ජුනි 1 ජාත්‍යන්තර ළමා දිනය ලෙස ප්‍රකාශයට පත් කරන ලදී. සමුළුවෙන් පසු ලොව පුරා විවිධ රජයන් ළමා ගැටළු පිළිබඳව අවධානය යොමු කිරීම සඳහා ළමා දිනයක් ලෙස ප්‍රකාශයට පත් කිරීමට තීරණය කළහ. බොහෝ රටවල් ජුනි 1 තෝරා ගත් අතර, ජාත්‍යන්තර ළමා දිනය ජුනි 1 වන දිනට හේතුව මෙයයි.
එය සාමාන්‍යයෙන් ළමයින්ගේ අයිතිවාසිකම් සහ යහපැවැත්ම පිළිබඳ සාකච්ඡ වලින් සහ ළමයින් සම්බන්ධ හෝ කැපවූ වෙනත් සිදුවීම් සඳහා වෙන් වූ දිනයකි.
ඒ හා සමාන සිදුවීමක් වන විශ්ව ළමා දිනය නොවැම්බර් 20 දිනට යෙදී තිබේ. එය එක්සත් ජාතීන්ගේ සංවිධානය විසින් 1954 දී පිහිටුවන ලද අතර ලොව පුරා දරුවන්ගේ සුභසාධනය ප්‍රවර්ධනය කිරීම අරමුණු කරයි. 1953 ඔක්තෝම්බර් මාසයේදී ජිනීවාහි ළමා දිනය සමරනු ලැබුවේ අනුග්‍රාහකයා ලෙස ළමා සුභසාධනය සඳහා වූ ජාත්‍යන්තර සංගමය සමඟ ය. මෙම ළමා දින සැමරුම එක්සත් ජාතීන්ගේ මහා මණ්ඩලයට 1954 විශ්ව ළමා දිනය සැමරීමට පොළඹවන ලදී.
