# Yoshihide Suga elects as Japan PM successor.
Japan's ruling party has elected chief cabinet secretary Yoshihide Suga as its new leader, making him all but certain to replace Shinzo Abe as the country's next prime minister.
Suga easily won the ballot, taking 377 of a total of 534 valid votes from Liberal Democratic Party lawmakers and regional representatives.
He will replace to current Prime Minister Mr. Shinzo Abe, who has resigned due to a health reasons.

ජපානයේ පාලක පක්ෂය එහි නව නායකයා ලෙස ප්‍රධාන කැබිනට් ලේකම් යොෂිහයිඩ් සුගා තෝරාගෙන ඇති අතර, ඔහු ෂින්සෝ අබේ වෙනුවට රටේ මීළඟ අගමැති ධුරයට පත් කරනු ඇත.
ලිබරල් ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදී පක්ෂයේ නීති සම්පාදකයින් සහ ප්‍රාදේශීය නියෝජිතයින්ගෙන් වලංගු ඡන්ද 534 න් 377 ක් ලබා ගනිමින් සුගා පහසුවෙන් ඡන්දය දිනා ගත්තේය.
සෞඛ්‍ය හේතූන් මත ඉල්ලා අස්වූ වත්මන් අගමැති ෂින්සෝ අබේ මහතා වෙනුවට ඔහු පත් කරනු ඇත.
