# World Lymphoma Awareness Day - 15 September.
World Lymphoma Awareness Day on September 15th is dedicated to informing the public about cancers of the lymphatic system.
The lymphatic system is a vast network of vessels that make up our lymphatic system. They branch out into every tissue of our body. The vessels contain a colorless, fluid called lymph. This intricate system of fluid and vessels act as a transport system carrying lymphocytes. These specialized white blood cells fight infection.
When lymphoma develops, it attacks the lymphocytes making it difficult for our bodies to fight infection. These cells are found throughout our body, not just our lymph nodes. Lymphocytes live in our bone marrow, spleen, and our blood.
In 2004, the world observed the first World Lymphoma Day. Since then, the observance has grown to include art displays, numerous organizations, campaigns, and fundraisers.

වසා ගැටිති පද්ධතියේ පිළිකා පිළිබඳව ජනතාව දැනුවත් කිරීම සඳහා සැප්තැම්බර් 15 වන දින ලෝක ලිම්ෆෝමා දැනුවත් කිරීමේ දිනය කැප කර ඇත.
වසා පද්ධතිය යනු අපගේ වසා පද්ධතිය සෑදෙන විශාල යාත්රා ජාලයකි. ඒවා අපගේ ශරීරයේ සෑම පටකයකටම බෙදී යයි. යාත්රා වල වසා ගැටිති නමින් වර්ණ රහිත තරලයක් අඩංගු වේ. මෙම සංකීර්ණ තරල හා යාත්රා පද්ධතිය ලිම්ෆොසයිට් රැගෙන යන ප්‍රවාහන පද්ධතියක් ලෙස ක්‍රියා කරයි. මෙම විශේෂිත සුදු රුධිරාණු ආසාදන සමඟ සටන් කරයි.
ලිම්ෆෝමා වර්ධනය වන විට, එය ලිම්ෆොසයිට් වලට පහර දෙන අතර අපගේ ශරීරයට ආසාදන සමඟ සටන් කිරීමට අපහසු වේ. මෙම සෛල අපගේ වසා ගැටිති පමණක් නොව අපගේ ශරීරය පුරා දක්නට ලැබේ. ලිම්ෆොසයිට් අපගේ ඇට මිදුළු, ප්ලීහාව සහ අපගේ රුධිරයේ වාසය කරයි.
2004 දී ලෝකය පළමු ලෝක ලිම්ෆෝමා දිනය සැමරීය. එතැන් සිට, උත්සවය කලා සංදර්ශන, විවිධ සංවිධාන, උද්ඝෝෂන සහ අරමුදල් සම්පාදකයින් ඇතුළත් වේ.
