# UN’s responsibility is to assist democratically elected governments - President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
President Gotabaya Rajapaksa says that it is the responsibility of the United Nations (UN) to support democratically elected government.
The President mentioned this in pre-recorded address to the General Debate of the 75th General Assembly on the United Nations today (23 September 2020), President’s Media Division stated.
Sri Lanka is committed to follow a neutral foreign policy with no affiliations to any particular country or power bloc, President reiterated.
The annual session of the General Assembly commenced at the UN Headquarters in New York at 9.00 pm in Sri Lanka Time yesterday (22 September 2020) using video conferencing technology.
# එක්සත් ජාතීන්ගේ වගකීම වන්නේ ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදීව තේරී පත් වූ රජයන්ට සහාය වීමයි - ජනාධිපති ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ.

අද (2020 සැප්තැම්බර් 23) එක්සත් ජාතීන්ගේ 75 වන මහා මණ්ඩලයේ මහා විවාදයට පෙර වාර්තා කළ දේශනයේදී ජනාධිපතිවරයා මේ බව සඳහන් කළ බව ජනාධිපති මාධ්‍ය අංශය පවසයි.
කිසියම් රටකට හෝ බලවේගයකට කිසිදු සම්බන්ධයක් නැති මධ්‍යස්ථ විදේශ ප්‍රතිපත්තියක් අනුගමනය කිරීමට ශ්‍රී ලංකාව කැපවී සිටින බව ජනාධිපතිතුමා නැවත අවධාරණය කළේය.
මහා සම්මේලනයේ වාර්ෂික සැසිවාරය වීඩියෝ සම්මන්ත්‍රණ තාක්‍ෂණය උපයෝගී කරගනිමින් ඊයේ (2020 සැප්තැම්බර් 22) රාත්‍රී 9.00 ට නිව් යෝර්ක්හි එක්සත් ජාතීන්ගේ මූලස්ථානයේ දී ශ්‍රී ලංකා වේලාවෙන් ආරම්භ විය.
