# World Rabies Day - 28 September.
September 28 is World Rabies Day, a global health observance started in 2007 to raise awareness about rabies and bring together partners to enhance prevention and control efforts worldwide. World Rabies Day is observed in many countries, including the United States.
While rabies is a 100% preventable disease, more than 59,000 people die from the disease around the world each year. World Rabies Day is an opportunity to reflect on our efforts to control this deadly disease and remind ourselves that the fight is not yet over.
The theme for World Rabies Day 2020 is “End Rabies: Collaborate, Vaccinate”– you can help by keeping pets up to date on their rabies vaccination, and collaborating with doctors, veterinarians, educators, community workers, policy makers, and others in your community to raise awareness around rabies prevention and control.
# ලෝක ජලභීතිකා දිනය - සැප්තැම්බර් 28.
සැප්තැම්බර් 28 ලෝක ජලභීතිකා දිනය, ජලභීතිකා රෝගය පිළිබඳව දැනුවත් කිරීම සහ ලොව පුරා වැළැක්වීමේ සහ පාලනය කිරීමේ ප්‍රයත්නයන් වැඩි දියුණු කිරීම සඳහා හවුල්කරුවන් එක් කිරීම සඳහා 2007 දී ආරම්භ කරන ලද ගෝලීය සෞඛ්‍ය සැමරුමකි. එක්සත් ජනපදය ඇතුළු බොහෝ රටවල ලෝක ජලභීතිකා දිනය සමරනු ලැබේ.
ජලභීතිකා රෝගය 100% වළක්වා ගත හැකි රෝගයක් වන අතර සෑම වසරකම ලොව පුරා 59,000 කට වැඩි පිරිසක් මෙම රෝගයෙන් මිය යති. ලෝක ජලභීතිකා දිනය යනු මෙම මාරාන්තික රෝගය පාලනය කිරීමට අප දරන උත්සාහය ගැන මෙනෙහි කිරීමට සහ සටන තවම අවසන් වී නැති බව අපට මතක් කර දීමට අවස්ථාවකි.
2020 ලෝක ජලභීතිකා දිනය සඳහා තේමාව වන්නේ “ජලභීතිකා රෝගය අවසන් කිරීම: සහයෝගයෙන්, එන්නත ලබා දීම” - සුරතල් සතුන් ජලභීතිකා එන්නත පිළිබඳව යාවත්කාලීනව තබා ගැනීමෙන් සහ ඔබේ වෛද්‍යවරුන්, පශු වෛද්‍යවරුන්, අධ්‍යාපනඥයින්, ප්‍රජා සේවකයින්, ප්‍රතිපත්ති සම්පාදකයින් සහ වෙනත් අය සමඟ සහයෝගයෙන් කටයුතු කිරීමෙන් ඔබට උදව් කළ හැකිය. ජලභීතිකා රෝගය වැළැක්වීම සහ පාලනය කිරීම පිළිබඳව දැනුවත් කිරීම සඳහා ප්‍රජාව.
