# On Day September 23 Neptune Discovered.
The planet Neptune, which is considered to be the outermost major planet in the solar system, was discovered on this day, i.e. September 23, in 1846.
German astronomer Johann Gottfried Galle was the first to observe the third most massive planet, although astronomers Urbain Jean Joseph Le Verrier, and John Couch Adams also worked independently which helped the discovery in 1846.
Neptune has been visited by only one spacecraft, Voyager 2, which flew by the planet on 25 August 1989.

ජර්මානු තාරකා විද්‍යාඥ ජොහාන් ගොට්ෆ්‍රයිඩ් ගාලේ තෙවැනි විශාලතම ග්‍රහලෝකය නිරීක්ෂණය කළ නමුත් තාරකා විද්‍යාඥයන් වන අර්බයින් ජීන් ජෝශප් ලෙ වෙරියර් සහ ජෝන් කෝච් ඇඩම්ස් ද ස්වාධීනව කටයුතු කළ අතර එය 1846 දී සොයා ගැනීමට උපකාරී විය.
නෙප්චූන් වෙත ගොස් ඇත්තේ 1989 අගෝස්තු 25 වන දින පෘථිවිය විසින් පියාසර කළ වොයේජර් 2 නම් එක් අභ්‍යවකාශ යානයක් පමණි.
