# Fifth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament.
5th World Conference of Speakers of Parliament (5WCSP)was held virtually. The Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), Geneva, and the Parliament of Austria jointly organized the two day Conference with the support of the United Nations (UN). The conference was held with the theme “Parliamentary leadership for more effective multilateralism” to deliver peace and sustainable development for the people and planet.
The Fifth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament will build on the outcomes from the previous sessions and further reinforce the parliamentary dimension of global governance. Preparations for the Speakers' Conference are guided by a Preparatory Committee, chaired by the IPU President, composed of parliamentary leaders, representatives of the IPU Executive Committee, the Bureau of Women Parliamentarians and the Forum of Young Parliamentarians, the Secretary General of the IPU, and the high-level representative of the UN Secretary-General. The first Preparatory Committee for the Fifth Conference of Speakers was held in Geneva from 8 to 9 February 2019.
# පාර්ලිමේන්තු කථානායකවරුන්ගේ පස්වන ලෝක සමුළුව.
පාර්ලිමේන්තු කථානායකවරුන්ගේ 5 වන ලෝක සමුළුව (5WCSP) අතථ්‍ය සමුළුවක් ලෙස පැවැත්විණි. එක්සත් ජාතීන්ගේ (UN) සහයෝගය ඇතිව අන්තර් පාර්ලිමේන්තු සංගමය (IPU), ජිනීවා සහ ඔස්ට්‍රියාවේ පාර්ලිමේන්තුව එක්ව දෙදින සමුළුව සංවිධානය කළහ. ජනතාවට සහ පෘථිවියට සාමය හා තිරසාර සංවර්ධනයක් ලබා දීම සඳහා “වඩාත් ඵලදායී බහුපාර්ශ්වීයත්වය සඳහා පාර්ලිමේන්තු නායකත්වය” යන තේමාව යටතේ මෙම සමුළුව පවත්වන ලදී.
පාර්ලිමේන්තුවේ කථානායකවරුන්ගේ පස්වන ලෝක සමුළුව පෙර සැසිවාරවල ප්‍රතිඵල මත පදනම් වන අතර ගෝලීය පාලනයේ පාර්ලිමේන්තු මානය තවදුරටත් ශක්තිමත් කරනු ඇත. කථිකයින්ගේ සමුළුව සඳහා වන සූදානම මෙහෙයවනු ලබන්නේ එක්සත් ජාතීන්ගේ මහලේකම්වරයාගේ ඉහළ පෙළේ නියෝජිතයකු, පාර්ලිමේන්තු නායකයින්, IPU විධායක කමිටුවේ නියෝජිතයින්, කාන්තා පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රීවරුන්ගේ කාර්යාංශය සහ තරුණ පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රීවරුන්ගේ සංසදය, IPU සභාපතිවරයාගේ සභාපතිත්වයෙන් යුත් සූදානම් කිරීමේ කමිටුවක් විසිනි. කථිකයන්ගේ පස්වන සමුළුව සඳහා පළමු සූදානම් කිරීමේ කමිටුව 2019 පෙබරවාරි 8 සිට 9 දක්වා ජිනීවා නුවරදී පැවැත්විණි.
