# China successfully launches new optical remote-sensing satellite.
China successfully launched a new optical remote-sensing satellite from its Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre in northwest China on Sunday 23 August 2020.
The satellite, Gaofen-9 05, was sent into orbit by a Long March-2D carrier rocket.
A multi functional test satellite and another satellite named Tiantuo-5 were also launched via the rocket.
23 August 2020 Sunday’s launch was the 343rd mission of the Long March rocket series, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.

2020 අගෝස්තු 23 වන ඉරිදා චීනය වයඹදිග චීනයේ ජියුවාන් චන්ද්‍රිකා දියත් කිරීමේ මධ්‍යස්ථානයෙන් නව දෘශ්‍ය දුරස්ථ සංවේදක චන්ද්‍රිකාවක් සාර්ථකව දියත් කළේය.
Gaofen-9 05 චන්ද්‍රිකාව දිගු මාර්තු -2 ඩී වාහක රොකට්ටුවක් මගින් කක්ෂයට යවන ලදි.
බහුකාර්ය පරීක්ෂණ චන්ද්‍රිකාවක් සහ ටියැන්ටූ -5 නම් තවත් චන්ද්‍රිකාවක් ද රොකට්ටුව හරහා දියත් කරන ලදී.
2020 අගෝස්තු 23 ඉරිදා දියත් කිරීම ලෝන්ග් මාර්තු රොකට් මාලාවේ 343 වන මෙහෙයුම බව රජයේ ෂින්හුවා පුවත් ඒජන්සිය වාර්තා කරයි.
