Colombo Dockyard PLC (CDPLC) is moving towards executing an already signed contract with Misje Eco Bulk AS (Misje) a Norwegian company, to build six (6) firm plus four (4) optional Eco Bulk Carriers.

The contracts were signed on 14 March 2020 but is scheduled to come in to effect only in the month of September 2020 with Owners' final board approval.

Misje Eco Bulk AS is a fully-owned subsidiary of KåreMisje& Co., a family-owned Norwegian company, which holds a group of companies that provides a complete package of services from chartering and operation to technical and financial management. 

These 89.95m long vessels are designed to hold a cargo capacity of 5000 DWT. The type of cargo they could carry includes bulk cargo, grain, timber, unit loads, and containers. Each vessel is powered by 4 stroke diesel engine with an Electric Hybrid system supplying additional power through a Battery system.

These vessels are developed as eco-friendly vessels, as they have lower emissions compared to conventional Bulk Carriers of the same size. The concept and the basic design of the innovative Bulk Carriers are developed by Wartsila Ship Design Norway AS and the detailed designing will be carried out by CDPLC.

The first vessel of the series is scheduled to be delivered in 18 months and the subsequent vessels will be delivered in 4 months intervals.

මෙම ගිවිසුම් 2020 මාර්තු 14 වන දින අත්සන් කරන ලද නමුත් බලපැවැත්වීමට නියමිතව ඇත්තේ අයිතිකරුවන්ගේ අවසන් මණ්ඩල අනුමැතිය ඇතිව 2020 සැප්තැම්බර් මාසයේදී පමණි.

මිස්ජේ ඉකෝ බල්ක් ඒඑස් යනු පවුලට අයත් නෝර්වීජියානු සමාගමක් වන කෙරෙමිස්ජේ සහ සමාගමේ පූර්ණ හිමිකාරීත්වය දරන සමාගමක් වන අතර එය වරලත් හා මෙහෙයුම් සිට තාක්ෂණික හා මූල්‍ය කළමනාකරණය දක්වා සම්පූර්ණ සේවා පැකේජයක් සපයන සමාගම් සමූහයක් දරයි.

මීටර 89.95 ක් දිග මෙම යාත්රා නිර්මාණය කර ඇත්තේ ඩීඩබ්ලිව්ටී 5000 ක භාණ්ඩ ප්‍රවාහනය සඳහා ය. තොග භාණ්ඩ, ධාන්‍ය, දැව, ඒකක බර සහ බහාලුම් ඔවුන් රැගෙන යා හැකි භාණ්ඩ වර්ගයට ඇතුළත් වේ. සෑම යාත්‍රාවක්ම 4 ස්ට්‍රෝක් ඩීසල් එන්ජිමකින් ක්‍රියාත්මක වන අතර විදුලි හයිබ්‍රිඩ් පද්ධතියක් බැටරි පද්ධතියක් හරහා අමතර බලයක් සපයයි.

සාම්ප්‍රදායික බල්ක් වාහකයන් හා සමාන ප්‍රමාණයට සාපේක්ෂව අඩු විමෝචන ඇති බැවින් මෙම යාත්‍රා පරිසර හිතකාමී යාත්‍රා ලෙස සංවර්ධනය කෙරේ. නවෝත්පාදක තොග වාහකයන්ගේ සංකල්පය සහ මූලික සැලසුම නෝර්වේ ඒඑස් විසින් වර්ට්සිලා නැව් නිර්මාණය කර ඇති අතර සවිස්තරාත්මක සැලසුම් කිරීම සීඩීපීඑල්සී විසින් සිදු කරනු ඇත.

මාලාවේ පළමු යාත්‍රාව මාස 18 කින් ලබා දීමට සැලසුම් කර ඇති අතර පසුව යාත්‍රා මාස 4 ක කාල පරාසයකින් ලබා දෙනු ඇත.
