# US will ban TikTok by September 15.
US President Donald Trump has set September 15 as the deadline for buying the operations of video-sharing platform TikTok in the US, after which the app will be banned in the country.
Trump also said very substantial portion of that price is going to have to come into the US Treasury out of a TikTok deal.
Meanwhile, Microsoft on August 2 officially confirmed that it is in talks to acquire the operations of video-sharing platform TikTok in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand markets following a conversation between Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and President Donald Trump.

මේ අතර, මයික්‍රොසොෆ්ට් ප්‍රධාන විධායක නිලධාරී සත්‍ය නාඩෙල්ලා සහ ජනාධිපති ඩොනල්ඩ් ට්‍රම්ප් අතර ඇති වූ සංවාදයකින් පසුව එක්සත් ජනපදය, කැනඩාව, ඕස්ට්‍රේලියාව සහ නවසීලන්ත වෙළෙඳපොළවල වීඩියෝ බෙදාගැනීමේ වේදිකාවක් වන ටික්ටොක් අත්පත් කර ගැනීම සඳහා සාකච්ඡා කරමින් සිටින බව මයික්‍රොසොෆ්ට් අගෝස්තු 2 දා නිල වශයෙන් තහවුරු කළේය.
