# Yellow colour to be mandated for vehicles transporting school children.
A mandatory colour code will be introduced for all vehicles transporting school children, the Ministry of Transport has announced.
The subject minister, Mahinda Amaraweera said yellow-painted will accordingly be imported for transporting school children in the future.
Minister Amaraweera had tabled the relevant proposal during a meeting held with the representatives of school van associations and police officers on Tuesday (07).
The decision was taken for other motorists to recognize the vehicles transporting school children easily.

පාසල් ළමුන් ප්‍රවාහනය කරන සියලුම වාහන සඳහා අනිවාර්ය වර්ණ කේතයක් ලෙස කහ පැහැය හඳුන්වා දෙන බව ප්‍රවාහන අමාත්‍යාංශය නිවේදනය කරයි.
අනාගතයේදී පාසල් ළමුන් ප්‍රවාහනය කරන වාහන සඳහා කහ පැහැති තීන්ත ආනයනය කරන බව විෂය අමාත්‍ය මහින්ද අමරවීර මහතා පැවසීය.
අඟහරුවාදා (07.07.2020) පාසල් වෑන් සංගම්වල නියෝජිතයින් සහ පොලිස් නිලධාරීන් සමඟ පැවති රැස්වීමකදී අමාත්‍ය අමරවීර අදාළ යෝජනාව සභාගත කර තිබේ.
පාසල් ළමුන් ප්‍රවාහනය කරන වාහන පහසුවෙන් වෙනත් රියදුරන්ට හඳුනා ගැනීමට ඉවහල් වන ලෙස මෙය තීරණය විය.
