# Gampaha Wickramarachchi Ayurvedic lnstitute is going to become a fully-fledged University.
The Cabinet of Ministers has granted its approval to upgrade Gampaha Wickramarachchi Ayurvedic Institute as a fully-fledged university.
The relevant proposal was tabled by the Minister of Higher Education, Technology and Innovations during the recent meeting of Cabinet ministers.
Gampaha Wickramarachchi Ayurvedic Institute, which is currently affiliated to the University of Kelaniya under the University Grants Commission (UGC), offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Ayurveda and allied sciences.
# ගම්පහ වික්‍රමාරච්චි ආයුර්වේද ආයතනය අංගසම්පූර්ණ විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයක් බවට පත්වනු ඇත.
ගම්පහ වික්‍රමාරච්චි ආයුර්වේද ආයතනය අංගසම්පූර්ණ විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයක් ලෙස උසස් කිරීමට අමාත්‍ය මණ්ඩලය අනුමැතිය ලබා දී තිබේ.
අදාළ යෝජනාව උසස් අධ්‍යාපන, තාක්ෂණ හා නවෝත්පාදන අමාත්‍යවරයා විසින් මෑතකදී කැබිනට් අමාත්‍යවරුන්ගේ රැස්වීමේදී සභාගත කරන ලදී.
විශ්ව විද්‍යාල ප්‍රතිපාදන කොමිෂන් සභාව (UGC) යටතේ දැනට කැලණිය විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයට අනුබද්ධව ඇති ගම්පහ වික්‍රමාරච්චි ආයුර්වේද ආයතනය ආයුර්වේදය හා ඊට අනුබද්ධ විද්‍යාවන්හි උපාධි හා පශ්චාත් උපාධි ලබා දෙයි.
