# Hichem Mechichi becomes new Prime Minister of Tunisia.
Tunisia’s interior minister, Hichem Mechichi has been appointed as the new Prime Minister of the country. His Precedecer was Elyes Fakhfakh who resigned over allegations of a conflict of interest. He has a month to form a government.
As well as being the interior minister in the outgoing government, Mechichi has been a counsellor to President Saied, handling legal matters. He has previously been chief of staff at the Ministry of Transport and also served in the Ministry of Social Affairs.

ටියුනීසියාවේ අභ්‍යන්තර කටයුතු අමාත්‍ය හිචෙම් මෙචිචි රටේ නව අගමැති ලෙස පත් කර තිබේ. ඔහුගේ පූර්වගාමියා වූයේ අභිමතාර්ථ ගැටුමක් (conflict of interest) පිළිබඳ චෝදනා මත ඉල්ලා අස්වූ එලීස් ෆක්ෆක් ය. ඔහුට ආණ්ඩුවක් පිහිටුවීමට මාසයක් තිබේ.
ඉවත්ව යන රජයේ අභ්‍යන්තර කටයුතු අමාත්‍යවරයා ලෙස මෙචිචි නීතිමය කටයුතු හසුරුවමින් ජනාධිපති සයිඩ්ගේ උපදේශකයෙකු ලෙස කටයුතු කර ඇත. ඔහු මීට පෙර ප්‍රවාහන අමාත්‍යාංශයේ මාණ්ඩලික ප්‍රධානී ලෙස කටයුතු කර ඇති අතර සමාජ කටයුතු අමාත්‍යාංශයේ ද සේවය කර ඇත.
