Two more Sri Lankan junior athletes have emerged victorious at the Asian Youth U18 Athletics Championships 2023 held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Nilupul Pehesara won the Silver medal in the High Jump event, clearing 2.01m mark while Kasuni Nirmalee Wickramasinghe bagged the Bronze medal in the 800m event.
Earlier this week, junior athlete Thushen Silva bagged a Silver medal, clearing 4.70m in Pole Vault to claim second place in the event.
A seven-member squad of junior athletes is in Tashkent, Uzbekistan taking part in the championship, held from April 27 to 30.
