Suresh Raina announces retirement from all forms of cricket.

Suresh Raina, the former India batter, announced his retirement from all forms of cricket.

Raina, who had retired from international cricket in 2020, wrote on Twitter, “It has been an absolute honour to represent my country & state UP. I would like to announce my retirement from all formats of Cricket. I would like to thank BCCI, UPCA (Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association), Chennai Super Kings, Rajiv Shukla sir and all my fans for their support and unwavering faith in my abilities.”

Raina, who played 18 Tests, 226 ODIs and 78 T20Is, was an integral member of the Chennai Super Kings since its inception till 2021 - missing a couple of years, when the franchise was banned. Incidentally, he led Gujarat Lions in 2016 and 2017. He also missed the 2020 season of the IPL. In 205 IPL games, he scored 5528 runs.
