International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies - 07 April 2022.

The third International Day of Clean Air for blue skies will be held on 7 September 2022. It focuses on the transboundary nature of air pollution highlighting the need for collective accountability and collective action.

The first ‘International Day of Clean Air For Blue Skies’: The first event, with the theme “Clean Air for All,” was held on September 7, 2020.

The second ‘International Day of Clean Air For Blue Skies’: The 2021 theme for the International Day of Clean Air for blue skies is “Healthy Air, Healthy Planet” which emphasizes the health aspects of air pollution, especially considering the COVID-19 pandemic.

The third International Day of Clean Air for blue skies was held on 7 September 2022, under the theme of ‘The Air We Share’. It focuses on the transboundary nature of air pollution highlighting the need for collective accountability and collective action.

On November 26, 2019, the Second Committee of the 74th session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly adopted a resolution designating 7 September as the “International Day of Clean Air for blue skies”.
