Every October 10th, World Homeless Day brings individuals together to find ways to change the lives of homeless people in their community. It’s also a time to draw attention to the needs of the homeless on a local level.
Approximately 150 million people around the world don’t have a home. This equals 2 percent of the world’s population.
The first World Homeless Day was held on October 10th, 2010. The concept of World Homeless Day came from online discussions amongst aid workers trying to help the homeless in their countries.
