11-year-old wins Junior MasterChef Australia with her grandma’s Sri Lankan curries.
The tiniest contestant has taken out the biggest prize! Georgia, an 11-year-old dynamo with a passion for her grandma’s Sri Lankan curries, has been crowned the winner of Junior MasterChef Australia 2020. She takes home the trophy, the title and $25,000.
Proud of her Sri Lankan heritage, Georgia cooked a pork curry, cashew curry, eggplant curry, plus yellow rice, pappadums and cucumber raita for her main.
Her dessert, which she named ‘Tropical Mess’ had five elements: toasted coconut ice cream, brown bread crumb, Davidson plum pearls, Davidson plum meringues and a lemongrass granita.
