Panasonic has appointed Yuki Kusumi as the company’s next chief executive officer, replacing Kazuhiro Tsuga who was the architect of a partnership with Tesla.
Kusumi who is the company’s head of automotive business will start the new position on April 01, Panasonic said, after a three-decade career at the company.
Tsuga will become chairman. He has been in the leadership role for eight years.
The change comes as Panasonic’s partnership with Tesla has proven beneficial for Panasonic.
