Lionel Messi Scored his 644 goal for Barcelona.
Lionel Messi broke Pele’s all-time scoring milestone for their clubs by netting his 644th career goal in Barcelona’s 3-0 win over Valladolid on Tuesday, 22 December 2020.
Messi achieved the feat in the 65th minute, helped by 18-year-old Pedro “Pedri” Gonzalez.
It is yet another record for Messi, who joined Barcelona at age 13 and made his competitive debut at 17 in 2004.
On Saturday, after Messi scored his 643rd goal and equalled Pele’s record, the Brazilian great Pele praised him on Instagram.
Pele, 80, made his debut at Santos in 1956 at the age of 15 and played for the club until 1974, featuring in a total of 665 competitive games.
