National Endangered Species Day - May 15.

# National Endangered Species Day - May 15.
National Endangered Species Day is observed on the third Friday of May every year. The day is devoted to protecting the wildlife on our planet. The National Endangered Species Day was celebrated for the first time in 2006. An endangered species is a species that is very likely to become extinct in the near future, either worldwide or in a particular political jurisdiction. Endangered species may be at risk due to factors such as habitat loss, poaching and invasive species.
