International FND (Functional Neurological Disorder) Awareness Day - 13 April.

International FND (Functional Neurological Disorder) Awareness Day is observed every year on April 13. The goal of the week is to promote awareness, support affected individuals, and advance research for the prevention, treatment, and recovery of FND.

Functional Neurological Disorder or FND is due to a problem with the functioning of the nervous system and thought to be the result of the brain’s inability to send and receive signals properly.

Patients experience a broad range of neurological symptoms such as movement disorders and sensory issues.

First International FND Awareness Week was in 2013, created by the FND support group called FND Hope and is promoted by the British charity called FND Action.
