International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace celibates annually on 24 April.
On December 12, 2018, the International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace was established. To promote and maintain the UN’s three pillars of peace and security, development, and human rights, it is critical to preserve the values of multilateralism and international cooperation that underpin the UN Charter and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The UN General Assembly adopted the resolution “International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace” (A/RES/73/127) on December 12, 2018.
The General Assembly, through that text, invites all United Nations Member States, observers, and organisations to observe the International Day in a proper manner and to disseminate the benefits of multilateralism and diplomacy for peace, including through educational and public awareness-raising activities.
