Shane Watson's new book, Winning the Inner Battle, explores the mental side of the game through his own experiences revitalising his career after contemplating retirement in 2015.

Shane Watson is one of the finest all-rounders in Australian cricket, having represented his country 298 times.

  • He played international cricket between 2002 and 2016.
  • He was the world's No. 1 T20I all-rounder for a record 150 weeks.
  • Shane Watson was born on 17 June 1981 in Ipswich, Queensland, Australia. At the age of 21, he made his international debut on 24 March 2002, playing an ODI against South Africa at Centurion.
  • In his ODI career, he scored 5757 runs in 190 matches at an average of 40.54 and took 168 wickets.
