Canada on Wednesday 08 December 2021 joined a growing list of countries refusing to send government officials to the Beijing Winter Olympics.
The US, UK and Australia already have all said they won't send official delegations to the Games in response to China's human rights violations against Uyghurs.
International Olympic Committee (IOC) president Thomas Bach warned after an IOC executive committee meeting, politicization could threaten the future of the Olympics.
