# World Day for Farmed Animals - 02 October.
Every Year since 1983, the World Day for Farmed Animals (WDFA) is observed on 2nd October, which marks the birth anniversary of the Mahatma Gandhi.
The day is organised by the International animals’ welfare organization, World Animal Protection along with the Asia for Animals coalition to show the importance and urgency of farm animal welfare.
The day is dedicated to exposing the needless suffering and death of farmed animals who are raised and slaughtered for food.
# ගොවි සතුන් සඳහා ලෝක දිනය - ඔක්තෝබර් 02.
1983 සිට සෑම වසරකම, ගොවි සතුන් සඳහා ලෝක දිනය (WDFA) ඔක්තෝබර් 2 වන දින සමරනු ලබන අතර එය මහත්මා ගාන්ධිතුමාගේ ජන්ම දිනය සමරයි.
ගොවිපල සත්ව සුභසාධනයේ වැදගත්කම හා හදිසිභාවය පෙන්වීම සඳහා ජාත්‍යන්තර සත්ව සුභසාධන සංවිධානය වන ලෝක සත්ව ආරක්ෂණ සංවිධානය සහ ආසියාව සඳහා වන සත්ව සන්ධානය සමඟ මෙම දිනය සංවිධානය කර ඇත.
ආහාර සඳහා ඇති දැඩි කරන ලද සහ ඝාතනය කරන ලද ගොවි සතුන්ගේ අනවශ්‍ය දුක් වේදනා හා මරණය හෙළිදරව් කිරීම සඳහා මෙම දිනය කැප කර ඇත.
