Global Recycling Day - 18 March.

Global Recycling Day takes place annually on 18th March and we are inviting nominations for #RecyclingHeroes 2021; people, places, businesses and activities that have continued to support the recycling effort during the pandemic.  Ten winners will be chosen from across the globe and each one will be awarded a prize of US$ 500 and will also feature on all our social media channels.

Global Recycling Day was created in 2018 to help recognise, and celebrate, the importance recycling plays in preserving our precious primary resources and securing the future of our planet. It is a day for the world to come together and put the planet first.

Every year, recyclables save over 700 million tonnes in CO2 emissions, according to the Global Recycling Foundation. The organisation projects this will increase to one billion tonnes by 2030

2021 Global Recycling Day Theme is "Recycling Heroes".
