World Hemophilia Day is an international observance held annually on April 17 by the World Federation of Hemophilia. It is an awareness day for hemophilia and other bleeding disorders, which also serves to raise funds and attract volunteers for the World Federation of Hemophilia. It was started in 1989; April 17 was chosen in honor for birthday of Frank Schnabel who found the World Federation of Hemophilia in 1963 and has its headquarters in Montreal, Canada.
This year is the 30th edition of World Hemophilia Day. The theme of World Hemophilia Day 2020: “Get + Involved”. The theme encourages to extend the notice of inherited bleeding disorders and therefore the got to make access to adequate care possible everywhere within the world.
