World Food Safety Day - 07 June.

Since we need to be able to trust the food we eat is safe for us, World Food Safety Day on June 7 focuses on the safety process. The goal of the day is to inspire action to help prevent, detect, and manage food-borne risks. A concerted effort to make and keep food safe contributes to food security, human health, economic prosperity, agriculture, market access, tourism, and sustainable development.

The first-ever World Food Safety Day, adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in December 2018. The theme of the first-ever Food Safety Day 2019 is “Food Safety, everyone’s business”. In this direction, the World Health Organisation (WHO) in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations decided to celebrate 7th June as the First food safety day since 7th June 2019.

The day stresses every meal, every snack, every time dishes are prepared, whenever foods are grown, produced, and transported – all of these are moments when food safety must be prioritized.

Under the 2021 theme “Food safety, everyone’s business”, the action-oriented campaign promotes global food safety awareness and calls upon countries and decision makers, the private sector, civil society, UN organizations and the general public to take action.

  1. Good Food is the only thing that give us healthy life. I prefer to eat just fresh food and fresh fruits. I like it today people are celebrating good food day but they mist be eating junks at fast food bars.
