NASA astronaut Chris Williams and Russian cosmonauts Sergei Kud-Sverchkov and Sergei Mikaev landed in their Soyuz MS-28 capsule in the Kazakhstan steppe southeast of Dzhezkazgan after a parachute-assisted descent.
This mission was the first spaceflight for Williams and Mikaev and the second for Kud-Sverchkov.
The crew is scheduled to travel by helicopter to Karaganda before Williams takes a flight to return to NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston and the Russian cosmonauts fly to their training base in Star City outside Moscow.
Earlier this month, NASA astronaut Anil Menon and Roscosmos cosmonauts Pyotr Dubrov and Anna Kikina arrived at the space station for an eight-month mission after launching from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman attended the launch, marking the first visit by a NASA chief to Baikonur in eight years.
The returning trio joined Expedition 75 alongside NASA astronauts Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway, European Space Agency astronaut Sophie Adenot and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrei Fedyaev.
