US President Donald Trump says the ceasefire deal with Iran is “over”, adds dealing with Tehran is a “waste of time”.
His comments come after the US said it launched “powerful strikes” against Iran following attacks on three ships in the Strait of Hormuz, including Qatari and Saudi tankers.
In response, Iran says it targeted “85 US military installations” over attacks on its Hormozgan province and the port city of Mahshahr, with air raid sirens blaring in Bahrain and Kuwait.
Trump also ordered the US treasury secretary to immediately cut off all trade and commercial ties with Spain.
The coffin of Iran’s slain supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, arrives in the Iraqi city of Najaf for a funeral procession.
